
A hand-painted sage kitchen for a 1912 house, with a period range wall and a modern working core.
The house is protected, so the kitchen had to look like it had always been there while working like something built this decade. We drew the range wall as a chimney breast with a bracketed mantel, then hid a full appliance run inside the cabinetry on either side.
Every door was sprayed in three coats and hand-sanded between each one. The colour was matched to a fragment of original trim found behind a radiator.
The stools were the client contribution, and they were right.
